Elegant stripes and easy cables.
Hello friends,
I'm thrilled to introduce the Daydream Zephyr Sweater, my newest pattern designed specifically for relaxing summer knits.
Here's what makes the Daydream Zephyr so special:
Effortless knitting: Stockinette stitch in the round with engaging cables and color changes to keep things interesting.
Customizable: Choose between short or long sleeves to suit your style.
All-season friendly: Make it with plant-based or wool yarn.
No short rows! A flap shapes the neckline flawlessly
Step-by-step video tutorial: I'm here to guide you every step of the way
Details:
This sweater is crafted seamlessly using circular needles, worked from the top down. It starts at the neckline, progressing into a yoke.
The raglan lines feature a basic cable stitch pattern. This simple yet stunning detail adds a touch of texture and elevates the whole design.
🌞 It was created to evoke summer dreams, the white and blue combination bringing to mind the image of a rope on a sailboat, while the beige recalls golden wheat ears.
We'll add rows to the back, working flat between the raglan lines, to create a flap that shapes the neckline.
The yoke is then divided to create both the body and sleeves, which are finished separately. There, we will use a combination of 6 rounds in the main color with 2 rounds in the contrasting color. Also the 2-row stripes offer a fun way to incorporate leftover yarn into your Zephyr sweater.
